The following  missions were defined during the Mission Definition Review (MDR) on 28th December, 2016. All three CubeSats will carryout the same missions.


The CubeSat will carry two identical cameras with different lens size to capture images with varying resolution. The cameras will also be used to capture a minimum resolution video from space for experimental purpose.

Automatic Packet Reporting System Digipeater (APRS-DP) and Store and Forward (S&F)

When the CubeSat is in range, an amateur radio user from ground can send a text message from their radio to the CubeSat which in turn will be broadcasted within the coverage area of the CubeSat. The same devices will also be used to demonstrate a S&F system. The CubeSat will collect data from remote ground sensors, store them onboard and download them to mission control center.

GPS chip demonstration

A newly designed GPS chip will be installed onboard to demonstrate its low power operation capabilities in space.

Single Event Latch-up (SEL)

During the mission life, the CubeSat operation could be hindered by radiation. Any such event will be logged.


The CubeSat will also carry magnetic field sensors to measure the magnetic field in space and compare it with that measured on ground.
